FAQ & Ticket Pick up

What forms of payment are accepted?
For internet bookings on our website we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For group bookings made by email, phone or fax, the same credit cards are accepted. Company and school checks are also accepted at least two weeks in advance of service.

I wasn't able to print out voucher how can I get it?

You can print out your voucher on our Print Voucher Page, click HERE . If you have your voucher you don't need a confirmation email. Just follow the instructions and directions on the voucher.

I can't print out my online vouchers / I don't have a printer!

You will receive a confirmation email once you purchase online. The email will include your reservation # plus the address of our visitor center located at 234 w. 42nd street. If you can't print out the email either, you can just write down the reservation numbers and bring them with you with proper ID to our vistor center at 234 w. 42nd street, lobby of madame Tussauds.

Where do I go with my vouchers to pick up my tickets?

For all bus tours, please go to our visitor center located at 234 w.42nd street between 7th & 8th avenues, inside the lobby of Madame Tussauds, the wax museum. (please follow voucher directions for proper vistor center).

We will redeem your vouchers for the tickets there. If you don't have your vouchers, you can just write down the reservation numbers and bring them with proper ID to the visitor center. PLEASE arrive early to avoid long lines.

Tickets for attractions other than the bus tours, please follow instructions on the voucher once you have completed purchase.

What are your hours of operation?
CitySights NY visitor center located at Madame Tussauds operates every day from 8am to 8pm. Please note that schedules are subject to change.

Where can I purchase tickets?

The best place to purchase tickets is online. By purchasing your tickets online you save $5 per ticket. This is an online only special not available anywhere else. If you purchase tickets for 4 different tours/atractions for 5 people you save $100!

You may also purchase tickets from our authorized ticket agents at the following locations:

Times Square - Broadway between 47th Street and 46th Street

8th Avenue between 49th and 50th Streets

Empire State Building - 34th Street and 5th Avenue

7th Avenue between 52nd Street and 53rd Street

Northwest corner of 49th Street and Lexington Avenue

Do I need a reservation?

Our CitySights NY tours do not require reservation although some of our tour partners do require reservations - please check the tour details for additional information.

Can I purchase tickets in advance?

Yes. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance using this website. Furthermore, although some double-decker hop-on hop-off tours are limited to 24 or 48 hours, the count doesn't begin until you redeem the online ticket in New York. For example, if you purchase Downtown Tour ticket today and you actually arrive in NY next week, the 24 hour count will start only next week when you redeem the ticket and not today!

If for some reason you don't want to take advantage of the ONLINE ONLY $5 discount per ticket, you may also, purchase tickets in advance as follows:

a) Call our reservation department at 212 812 2700 and tickets will be mailed or e-mailed to you. 

b) Tickets can be purchased through the hotel Concierge and tour desks at the major hotels in Manhattan or

c) You can email requests to info@citysightsny.com

What are the hours of operation for customer service and purchasing advance tickets?
Our customer service department is open daily from 8am to 10pm, eastern standard time.

Will my tickets expire?

When purchasing the Downtown Tour or the Uptown tour separately the ticket is valid for a 24 hour consecutive period.  When purchasing together (All Around Town Tour) the Downtown tour, the Uptown tour and the Night tour are valid for a 48 hour consecutive period - The Museum and Circle Line tickets can be used once within the same 48 hour consecutive period.  Tickets will expire if not used within these hours.

PLEASE NOTE! The 24/48 hours count starts when you redeem the ticket in New York and NOT when you purchase the ticket online.

Do you pick up at my hotel?
Courtesy hotel pickups are provided for groups of 25 or more passengers traveling together.

What if it rains?

CitySights NY operates open-decker buses on our Downtown and Night Tours so everyone can have the best views of the city. Ponchos will be provided when it is raining. During cold weather periods, the company has designed a removable canopy constructed from a clear, see-through material, allowing both warmth and complete visibility.

How long are the tours?

Uptown Treasures & Harlem - Tour Length: Approx. 2-3/4 hours (Allow additional time for your included admission Museum visit.)

Downtown Tour approx. 3 hours

Night Tour approx. 3 hours

All Around Town Tour is a combination of all above tours plus a Circle Line 2 Hours cruise.

What is unique about your buses?

CitySights NY is operating a brand new fleet of American-made buses, uniquely-designed with seating on the top deck only to offer all of its passengers a grand view of the sites of Manhattan.

The vehicles are equipped with a state-of-the-art public address system with speakers located under every seat, allowing passengers excellent audio reception of the guide narration even in the open air. Heating coils are situated throughout the top deck flooring to provide comfort in cool weather. During cold weather periods, the company has designed a removable canopy constructed from a clear, see-through material, allowing both warmth and complete visibility.

What does Hop on Hop off mean?
Hop on/Hop off means you can hop off the bus at any one of its stops (stop locations are listed on map), walk around as much as you like then hop back on the next bus at one of its stops. You have unlimited hop on/ hop offs during the specified hours for each tour. Buses run every 15-20 minutes.

Do you provide group discounts?
Groups of 10 or more are entitled to a 10% discount on CitySights NY tours.

Groups of 20 or more are eligible for a complimentary group pick-up at most midtown hotels. Please contact us at info@citysightsny.com to make arrangements for group services.

How does a Group book in advance?
For Groups and Private double-decker Charters or group tickets and pick-ups, please contact our group department at 212 812 2702 or fill out the quote form today.

What are your age requirements for children?
Children under 3 years of age, accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat, travel complimentary on our CitySights NY tours.

How are refunds and exchanges handled?

We do not accept walk-ins, please mail your requests in. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the tour and must include ticket receipt for tour(s) purchased. No requests will be considered without your ticket and proof of purchase. Any refunds due will be made by mail. Refunds are not available on unused segments of a tour or unused admissions.
