Your tours with the recorded commentary were ordinary and no different to any other tour offered in any major city. However, with Sherwood with his wit and humour details of the tour were easily retained. He seemed very knowledgable and sincere and was without doubt the best tour guide we have experienced. I don't know how much he is paid but I'm sure it's not enough.

My group and I purchased the All Around Town tour. Great value!!! It rained one day so I am sure that would have been better if it had been better weather. Only complaints would be the audio, one our first bus so loud downstairs we had to use earplugs. On our 2nd time on the downtown loop, the microphone didnt broadcast to the back of the bus (uptop) Guide had to stand by us for us to hear tour. Darryl on the downtown loop and Irene on the Uptown loop were amazing! The best tours by far was the Harbor Tour and the night tour the guides for these were awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly, wish I could remember their names too. All the guides on CitySights were friendly (not so much Greyline for the Brooklyn tour) and made us feel welcome. I would recommend your service to anyone. |

The tours were fabulous! My FAVOURITE guide was Phyllis! She was on the downtown route on our second day and we really enjoyed her. When we were taking our last trip around we were sooooo excited to see her again!
The only negative points I found were that the pick up and drop off points are not very well marked for people who are in NY for the first time. We found it very difficult to find where exactly we were supposed to be to hop back on once we had hopped off. The other negative point was that the line up for the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Ferry was sssssssssoooooooo llllloooonnnngggg that we didn't even get a chance to use that portion of our tickets. If someone had told us (like perhaps the person selling the tickets) that to get on the ferry you needed to make that your first stop of your day, we would have arranged our day to include it.
Otherwise, we enjoyed every minute of our trip to New York and Phyllis just helped make our trip that much more relaxed and informative! Thank you so much for the great time! |

my sister and I went to NYC during Memorial weekend and we had a blast! i usually don't do tour bus but hop-on hop-off are so worth it. what makes it priceless though is an excellent guide: we had Sherwood as our downtown guide and we absolutely love his wicked sense of humor, his knowledge and passion for this city. While keeping it light and highly entertaining, he also brought the right level of solemnity and respect as we passed landmarks such as WTC Memorial. he made us see the city from a different point of view, with the past explaining the present. i wished the tour last longer, i would've love to listen to more stories!

We took the 3 day tour. By far, the best tour guide was Sherwood. He was extremely knowledgable and very funny at the same time. Unfortunately, your other tour guides did not have similar qualities. Some were very hard to understand and even rude to my wife. |

Currently on night tour with Cary. He was and is by far the best host on any tour we have ever taken. He definitely needs to be looked at for a raise and promotion. He needs to train the other tour guides. Seriously the best!!!!!

Visited NYC and used your tours Fri-Sat-Sun (5/18-20). All guides on Friday and Saturday were great--knowledgeable and entertaining. Sunday afternoon picked up bus after visitng 9/11 Memorial, finishing the loop at Rockefellar Center. Guide was older lady (shoulder length auburn hair). Complained the whole trip about how she had been working since 9 that morning with no lunch or break, adding numerous times that people were not tipping her. When we passed the Standard & Poor's building she made a point of standing in the middle of the aisle and proudly flipping the bird w/ both hands (giving the F-finger) to the building and then went on tirade about how their greed damaged the U.S. Throughout rest of the trip she made many more comments about the evils of corporate greed and capitalism. By the end of the tour it was painfully obvious why she wasn't getting tips. Add to the ranting was the fact that her blouse was unbuttoned way below the bra with more cleavage than anyone wanted to see, especially on a woman of her age. Rest of the tours were great, especially the harbor tour on Saturday at 1:00 -- guide was awesome! Thanks for helping make our NYC vacation memorable.

We used your buses to see NY May 14th thru May 16th. Our tour guide on the 15th was Aaron Tabackman. My sister and I wanted to let you know what a wonderful guide he is. He is very knowledgable and personable. We had intended to get off at a museum but he was so interesting that we stayed on for the full route eventough it was intermitent rain showers.
Wish all of your tour guides were as good as Aaron. Job well done!!! |

Our Night tour guide Allen France made our visit so so much enjoyable and we learned so much from his tour. It is day and night when we have a wonderful tour guide like Allen. His personality and his skills of guiding us is the best. I hope your tour buses have more guide like Allen.

We loved the hop on/off bus on our recent trip to NYC. In particular, had a fantastic uptown tour with Peter on Tuesday 8th May, which was my husband's 50th birthday and the reason for our visit. me and my wifes 1st trip to the city.luckily we got on a bus with your tour guide phillis. very knowlgable and entertaining. was disapointed with the busses that only had head phones.she should train all the other tour guides. iwould recomend your busses only because of her. thanks for a great day. |

Great tours of new York especially if you want to avoid the subways. We did the uptown and downtown tours a few times and always got a seat. However we had to wait over an hour Saturday morning for the up down tour near Guggenheim Museum and the hop on hop off tours end at 5pm on Saturday. This is NEW YORK CITY!!!!! Why would your tours end so early????? It gets very cold and windy on the bus.

Thank you sooo much for our wonderful bus tours of NY City last week. My family & I visited for the first time and stayed at The New Yorker Hotel. They recommended City Sights and we spent our first morning in NY travelling around in glorious sunshine while your extremely entertaining guides pointed out the sights to us. It enabled us to get our bearings on the City and we spent several days hopping on and off your buses helping to make the whole trip seem really easy to manage. Our first guide was called Craig and although I'm sorry that I forget the names of the others they were all very entertaining.

All the tour guides where very professional and full of interesting facts about NYC. One tour guide stood out, a high point, and his name was SHERWOOD.
