The Empire State Building has a timed entry system, which requires all visitors to have a pre reserved entry time. You must bring BOTH the timed reservation ticket you will receive after you make your reservation and the original voucher you have purchased from us in order to gain entry. The Empire State Building personnel will NOT be able to admit you without BOTH tickets.

Multi-Media tour app: The free Official Empire State Building Observatory Experience App is available on the App Store and Google Play. It includes an audio visual tour guide detailing the building’s construction, sustainability, and views; as well as quizzes, videos and an image gallery. The App is available in English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, and German.

Visitor Tips:
• Observatory is open daily from 11am until 11pm so you can see the twinkling cityscape lit up against the night sky!
• No food or beverages are served on the upper levels.
Accessibility:
The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. The 86th Floor Observatory deck has handicapped restrooms, ramps, and lowered viewing walls and binoculars. Service dogs are allowed throughout the building. Motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted.

After you complete your online purchase, you will be redirected to a page with your live ticket. This ticket includes admission for both the All Around Town Tour and the Empire State Building. Additionally, an order confirmation with a link to this ticket will be emailed to you within two hours. Simply print or take a picture of the QR code on the ticket and you’re ready to either board the bus at any designated stop or go directly to the Empire State Building. Your ticket is activated the first time it is scanned.
How long do I have to use my tickets?
The included All Around Town bus ticket is valid for 48 consecutive hours from the first time it is scanned on the bus. This consecutive time-frame includes all bus loops, the Night Tour, CitySightseeing Hop-on, Hop-off Ferry and the bonus museum admission choice included as part of the All Around Town Tour. You have an additional 14 days to visit the Empire State Building.
Will I have to wait in line at the Empire State Building?
We cannot guarantee wait times at the Empire State Building, but please be advised that this is a very popular and highly secure attraction. To avoid the heaviest crowds, we suggest visiting between 8am and 11am.
How long does a typical Empire State Building visit take?
There are no specific visiting windows or time limits. You should plan to spend at least 1 hour, but note that lines are longer during peak season and/or visiting hours and will impact the amount of time needed.
What does unlimited hop-on, hop-off access mean? Can I get off anywhere?
With unlimited hop-on, hop-off access you can hop off the bus at any of the designated tour stops along the route, spend time walking around or exploring attractions, and get back on the bus at the same stop or any of the other designated stops listed on our map. You can do this an unlimited number of times within the specified hours for each tour. For a full list of tour stops, view our map.
You can not hop off at locations other than our designated hop-on, hop-off tour stops.
Do I need to specify a date of travel?
No. When you start your order, you will have to choose the day you believe you are going to redeem the voucher. However, we do understand that plans change so you have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.
Can I use my ticket to board the bus for the first time?
YES! We have recently upgraded our technology, so you no longer have to redeem a voucher for a bus ticket at a visitor’s center. Your live ticket is delivered to you instantly. Just print or store it on your phone and the bus driver will scan it for immediate boarding.
Where can I start the bus tour?
You can begin the tour at any designated stop along the bus route! The bus driver will simply scan your live ticket and you’ll be on your way.
What time do the sightseeing bus tours start and stop?
Our buses operate daily. Hours vary by tour:
Uptown: 9:00am - 4:30pm
Downtown: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Brooklyn: 11:00am - 3:00pm
Night Tour: 6:00pm - 8:00pm (one 1.5-hour tour nightly)
Sightseeing Ferry: 10:00am - 4:00pm (See ferry schedule for departure times)
How long do the included tours take?
There are 4 distinct bus tours included in the All-Around Town Bus ticket, and each varies in length. Your ticket also includes access to the CitySightseeing Hop-on, Hop-off Ferry. Approximate tour times (excluding optional hop-offs) are as follows: Downtown: 2.5 hours
Uptown: 2 hours
Brooklyn: 1.5 hours
Night Tour: 2 hours
Sightseeing Ferry: 1.5 hours
How long will I have to wait for the next sightseeing bus?
Buses run every 15-30 minutes, but please be aware that wait times can vary due to New York City traffic.
