Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is Frank Lloyd Wright’s mid-century masterpiece of modern architecture, located alongside scenic Central Park. Visit the museum to see collection highlights, including works by Degas, Gauguin, and Picasso. Plus, enjoy special exhibitions in the iconic, spiraling rotunda.
Pieces are even displayed on the walls of the sweeping spiral ramp inside the rotunda.
Solomon Guggenheim moved his eccentric collection from The Museum of Non-Objective Art to this iconic site in 1959.
The collection has been continually boosted by acquiring other major works by Europe and America’s greatest 19th, 20th and 21st century artists including Manet, Picasso, Degas and Pollock as well as emerging talent like Julien Bismuth. There’s a stylish gift shop where you can acquire you own works of art.
