Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, the Empire State Building Experience is so much more than just a view. Your visit will conclude at the most iconic 360-degree open-air observation deck in all of NYC – The Empire State Building’s 86th Floor Observatory Deck. Feel the heart of NYC!

On-Site Upgrades:

102nd Floor Observatory: Upgrade available at Observatory ticket office (2nd floor) or 86th floor kiosk.

Express Pass: Purchase from an official Empire State Building employee at the onsite ticket office on the day of arrival to move to the front of each line.
Please note: Street sales agents outside of the building are not employed by the Empire State Building Observatory and are not authorized to sell Express upgrades.

High-power Binoculars: Available on promenades for a minimal cost.

Multi-Media tour app: The free Official Empire State Building Observatory Experience App is available on the App Store and Google Play. It includes an audio visual tour guide detailing the building’s construction, sustainability, and views; as well as quizzes, videos and an image gallery. The App is available in English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, and German.

Tips:
• Observatory is open until 2am every night for spectacular skyline and nighttime views.
• Enjoy live music on most Thursday - Saturday evenings after 9pm.
• Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner, State Grill and Bar is located in the lobby to cater to your dining needs.
• To plan your visit, you are welcome to check the Time to the Top* at www.empirestatebuilding.com or by calling (877) NYC-VIEW (692-8439).
*Average general admission ticket travel time from clearing security, through our two exhibits, to the 86th floor Observation Deck. Updated every 2 minutes.

Best time to visit: Beat the crowds. For more space and less wait, visit between 8AM and 11AM or after 10PM.

o Heartland Brewery, Europa Café, Chipotle, and Starbucks

• Accessibility: The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. We have handicapped restrooms on the 86th Floor Observatory and also have lowered viewing walls and binoculars. Service dogs are allowed throughout the building. Motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted. The 86th Floor has ramps to make getting around easier and lowered viewing walls so that visitors in chairs can still take in the view.

Voucher Information:
After your online purchase you will be redirected to a page with your voucher. An order confirmation, with a link to your online voucher, will also be e-mailed to you within two hours of completing your purchase. Redeem at any of the visitor center locations listed on the voucher. At the visitor center, simply show your voucher on your mobile phone or bring a printed copy.

What happens after I make my purchase?
After you complete your online purchase, you will be redirected to a page with your voucher. An order confirmation including a link to your online voucher will also be emailed to you within two hours of completing your purchase. You will redeem this voucher at any of the visitor center locations listed on the voucher. You can show your voucher on your mobile device or bring a printed copy. Please bring valid identification. Once you’ve redeemed your voucher, you can use your ticket to get into the Empire State Building.

Are there any restaurants/bars at the at the top of the Empire State Building?
There are no dining or concession options on the observation deck levels. However, there are plenty of food and beverage options at the concourse on the lobby level.

Will the weather affect my visit to the Empire State Building?
The Empire State Building is open 365 days a year from 8 am to 2 am, regardless of weather conditions. An indoor climate-controlled viewing gallery offers iconic views of the cityscape if you don’t feel like enduring less than ideal weather conditions.

Is there an outdoor viewing area?
Yes! The Main Deck (86th floor) open-air observation deck wraps around the whole building.

Does my ticket include a tour or audio guide?
Yes, every admission to the Empire State Building includes a free Multimedia handheld tour.

How long do I have to use my ticket?
Your voucher is valid for 12 months after you make your purchase. Once you redeem your voucher, you will receive a ticket, and that ticket expires after 10 days.

Do I need to specify a date of travel?
No. When you start your order, you will have to choose the day you believe you are going to use the voucher. However, we do understand that plans change so you have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

Can I use my voucher to get into the Empire State Building?
No. You must redeem your voucher at one of the visitor center locations listed on your voucher. At the visitor center, simply show your voucher on your mobile phone or bring a printed copy.

Are there restrooms at the top of the Empire State Building?
Yes, restrooms are available on the 86th floor.

What accommodations are made for visitors with disabilities?
The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. This includes handicapped restrooms on the 86th floor, lowered viewing walls and binoculars, and ramps to make getting around easier. The Empire State Building allows service dogs and motorized/non-motorized wheelchairs.
